NOTES:

Patrols will be expected to cook most of their own meals. We do have facilities to cook for them as a group if we think it necessary.
A variety of cooking methods will be used including gas stoves, open fires, camp oven's and hay boxes.

A range of healthy snacks will be available outside of meal times for anyone who is hungry.

We open a tuck shop every day. scouts are given a maximum amount that they can spend in any one visit to the shop.
Tuck shop food is typically 'junk'. We use 'tuck' as a reward mechanism. If a Scout has misbehaved then they will not be allowed tuck for that day.

We will not stock peanut butter. We will try not to buy foods which may contain nuts. We would ask parents not to send Scouts with nut products in their packed lunch as we have Scouts with nut allergies.

scouts will be asked NOT to store food in their tents (apart from tuck).
This will help keep the site free from 'visitors' and also mean that the sleeping quarters will remain cleaner.

We will ration some foods such as crisps to what we consider a sensible quantity per day.

We will cook a vegetarian option for those who do not eat meat.
Scoutse not actually eating the meal being cooked by their patrol will still be expected to help prepare, cook and clean up with their patrol.

You MUST let us know in advance of any special dietary requirements.
If you have any concerns regarding the planned menu or the arrangments for meal times then please let us know.
