Incident Hike - May 2008
We are going for an eventful stroll around the Hut!

Pieces of a giant puzzle were located around the field. The Scouts had to find all the pieces and them assemble them into a square. It took the first group some time but...................

They got one of the two possible solutions in the end. Well done!

The younger Scouts also succeeded!

Thanks to Graham who spent time at the weekend making the puzzle.

Water transfer activity. This required a serious amount of teamwork and
most Scouts got a little wet.

We couldn't consider having an Incident Hike without an Emergency Aid activity. Steve arranged for one of our Young Leaders to have a broken leg and provided a lot of equipement that the Scouts could use in order to imobilse the patient's broken leg and make a stretcher to carry him.

In the event three out of the four groups made the task much more complicated than was necessary. Only one group came up with the simple solution of two wooden poles and a sleeping bag for the stretcher!

The successfull group demonstrated their solution at the end of the next session.
